Bull Knob (Environmental Association 3.2.9)

location map showing Bull Knob (Environmental Association 3.2.9)

Ridges with dissected slopes on quartzite and arkose. The cover is parkland with an understory of sown pasture.

Impressive background panoramic views are available from the ridge crests with Mt. Lofty forming the distant backdrop in the north-wet and Lake Alexandrina discernible in the south-east. Below the crests landscape dimensions quickly diminish and views are frequently foreground enclosed or perspective along valley floors, which with willows, poplars, pine trees and blackberry undergrowth contrast sharply with the grasslands or open blue gum woodlands of the hills.
