Para (Environmental Association 3.2.19)

location map showing Para (Environmental Association 3.2.19)

A hilly upland with broad crests and dissected slopes on schist and gneiss. there is a mixed cover of pine plantation and open parkland with an understory of sown pasture. The latter is used for livestock grazing.

Due to the dissected topography foreground views are common. They vary from enclosed, for instance around water reservoirs, to perspective along gullies or roads through pine plantations, and panoramic in less dissected areas. From several locations vistas and occasionally panoramic views can be obtained over adjacent associations, for instance over parts of the Barossa Valley.
