An undulating calcrete plain with extensive sand sheets and low dunes. The dunes have been cleared to an open parkland but elsewhere the vegetative cover is a cultural grassland used for cereal cultivation and grazing.

The views are middleground panoramas with local features of mallee remnants and bare dunecrests Locally, the mallee verges create perspective views along roads.
